Ron's Story
As a young and active boy, sports drew much of Ron’s interest. At the age of three, he stood upon the starting block of his very first swimming race. When the starting gun went off, that little boy dove into a long and celebrated athletic career. Not surprisingly, the world of competition proved to be a breeding ground for the type of confidence, focus, discipline, and determination that has served him throughout his lifetime. In competitive swimming, golf, and martial arts, Ron achieved state, regional, national, international, and world championship status and cultivated the kind of world-class mindset to make it all possible.
Along the way, Ron was introduced to the theatre, and acting quickly became another passion. After appearing in multiple musicals and plays, he turned professional and began pursuing a career in Hollywood. Here, in perhaps the most competitive town in the world, Ron needed to draw upon his competitive mindset to win in an industry where so many lose. Subsequently, he landed multiple roles in commercials, television, stage, and film. For a decade, Ron performed live on stage for hundreds of thousands at Universal Studios, Hollywood, where he played Young Conan in the Conan the Barbarian Show and Sonny Crocket in the Miami Vice Action Spectacular. Audience members included celebrities, political figures, foreign dignitaries, and visitors from across the globe. Now, of course, Ron Thomas is recognized worldwide for his iconic role as Bobby Brown in The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai.
